I created my brand straight after studying fashion design at University and in February 2011 I started trading at Spitalfields Market.
The brand grew into what you see here, a cornucopia of hand dyed pieces that are all unique.
My clothing is all either handmade by me in my studio, or is produced in conjunction with the fair wear foundation and is produced in factories that are renowned for their ethics, and fair wage schemes.
Eco and societal practices are paramount to the ethos of my brand and I love just spending hours researching and sourcing cutting edge fabrics.
I am currently in the process of trying to make my hosiery range more sustainable without sacrificing the design or wearablilty of my pieces!
ABOUT THE BRAND
We stock a few other brands that inspire us and fit into the points with our ethos of sustainable production, local or small producers and women-led businesses.
Everything I stock I wear myself and am proud to do so! My starting point for sourcing new brands and designs is whether I would wear it myself. From this point I choose colours and styles to appeal to my beautiful and broad range of customers.
At the moment the other brands we stock are -
Pamela Mann - A UK based hosiery brand, they design and package in house and their european manufactured hosiery is top quality. I've had the pleasure to meet the director of the company and his wife when they visited me at my stall at Spitalfields (It was a particularly cold and miserable day so it was a nice surprise!) We talked about sustainability and I can attest they are dedicated to their product and also to making a more sustainable product.
Fiore Hosiery - A Polish hosiery brand, created by women for women. Over 70% of their staff are women, and their designs are modern, bold and beautiful! I absolutely love wearing their socks and tights and their quality is amazing!
