  • Gramodaya Co-operative is a women's co-operative in Kerala, India.  In 2009 a group of 12 ladies were formed a sewing co-op.  The objective of the formation of this group was to bring the ladies to the mainstreams of society within the guidelines of the Govt project named "kudumbasree" which means "family prosperity". As of 2019 18 women are working in the co-operative.

  • Wilding

Inspired by plants that appear year after year, sometime considered weeds due to the way they spread but look beautiful and are loved by bees.  Blue Alkanet is a plant in the Borage Family and the bees and butterflies bloody love it!  It has nectar rich blue flowers, sometimes mistaken for forget-me-nots (Blue Alkanet has a white center and the flowers have a slight purple tinge to them whereas forget-me-nots have yellow centres and the flowers are blue!)  They spread very easily so cutting back is sometimes needed so they don't overpower the rest of the surrounding plants!  It has a very very large taproot that is very thick and goes deep in the ground so it can be hard to remove completely!  If you have these in your garden please leave some if you can!  They are beautiful and really contribute to the rewilding of the surrounding area.  The flowers themselves are also edible, if you're foraging don't forget to only take as much as you need and leave the area as you found it!
